🏗️ Post-Construction Cleaning Checklist

Stage 1: Rough Clean (During/Immediately After Construction)

This stage focuses on removing bulk debris and dust to make the space safer and more manageable for finishing work.

• Remove large debris, leftover materials, packaging, and nails/screws

• Sweep and vacuum floors to reduce dust

• Wipe down exposed surfaces (windowsills, counters, shelves)

• Clean construction residue from walls, baseboards, and door frames

• Remove stickers, labels, and protective films from windows and appliances

• Check for hazardous items and dispose of safely

• Empty trash and debris containers

Stage 2: Final Clean (After Construction is Complete)

The final clean prepares the property for occupancy or staging. This is more detailed and focuses on deep cleaning and polishing.

• Dust and wipe all surfaces, including walls, doors, trim, and moldings

• Clean windows (interior) and glass surfaces

• Vacuum and mop floors thoroughly

• Scrub bathrooms: toilets, sinks, tubs, showers, tiles, and grout

• Wipe down kitchen surfaces: counters, cabinets, sinks, and appliances (inside & outside if needed)

• Remove fine dust from light fixtures, ceiling fans, vents, and baseboards

• Clean all fixtures, knobs, switches, and handles

• Sanitize high-touch surfaces

• Check and remove paint splatters, adhesive, and construction residue

Stage 3: Touch-Up Clean (Before Move-In/Final Walkthrough)

The touch-up clean is the last step before the client moves in, focusing on appearance and finishing details.

• Inspect all rooms for dust or debris that settled since the final clean

• Spot clean windows, mirrors, and glass doors

• Wipe off fingerprints from cabinets, doors, and appliances

• Sweep or vacuum entryways and high-traffic areas

• Mop floors if needed

• Ensure all surfaces are polished and ready for move-in

• Replace trash liners and ensure the space is guest-ready
